MUMBA I -AHMEDABAD H I GH-SPEED RA I L (MAHSR ) Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR), or Mumbai–Ahmedabad HSR, is an under-construction high-speed rail line, which will connect India’s economic and financial hub, Mumbai, with the largest city of the state of Gujarat, Ahmedabad. When completed, it will be recognised as India’s first high-speed rail line. Nuvoco partnered with National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHRCL) and L&T Constructions (Contractor) to build the nation’s first bullet train project at Valsad, Gujarat. Nuvoco supplied X-Con (M20, M40 and M50 grades of concrete) that is suitable for high endurance projects like these, which require consistent quality and on-time delivery. Nuvoco set up a project plant to ensure a continuous supply of concrete. The project site is situated in an area that is closely surrounded by villages. The team strategized to get the cement silos (15 feet long) to the location from cities (Mumbai and Ahmedabad) driving through the narrow roads in the region with low and high-tension cables above the road. The team along with the contractor efficiently resolved all the challenges that came their way and completed the supply of 2,42,000 Cum Concrete in 14 months and made this project a success. Racing against time to deliver on our promise Key facts: Product supplied Quantity supplied – 2,42,000 Cum Area covered - 173 km (towards Vapi) and 210 km (towards Surat). 1 2 3
